Artist Statement

Olive trees are some of the oldest living beings on Earth, symbolizing resilience and continuity. While their lifespans typically exceed 500 years, there are remarkable specimens that have flourished for over 2,000 years, standing as silent witnesses to the trials of history—enduring wars, natural disasters, and climatic changes that date back more than 4,000 years.
